Kumamoto Restaurant - Private Lodge

Vegetarianism isn't so common amongst the Japanese, but it is not usual for foreign tourists to gag at the idea of raw fish and horse meat. As such, the vegetarian restaurant Private Lodge is popular with non-Japanese tourists and health-conscious Japanese alike, offering a wide variety of delicious, home made products. I have visited since the earthquake and found their wares to be no less sumptuous despite the currently limited menu.
